I am wearing the veil,
yet so many, so many words are being said by you.
I am wearing the veil
and then so many eyes glare at me.
are they looking at me,
or are they looking at the veil?
I, feel liberated.I, feel protected.
but these eyes, these eyes make me questions my liberation.
do they look beyond their stereotypical representations?
or am I reduced to be seen as an object?
is this veil the accessory? or am I?
My female body is seen as an accessory to this omnipotent male but the veil allows me to remain as I am, it hides my allure
Empowered, I can see beyond my veil
and the male cannot appropriate me as he needs
because I am autonomous.
